Energy Transition

With the aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, the Principality of Monaco has set up a national action plan on the energy performance of buildings. The aim is to encourage owners to reduce heat loss by improving the isolation of housing. Starting on 1 September 2020, a subsidy will be granted to owners who wish to replace single-glazed windows in their residences. This funding is also available for common areas under the condition that no work has been completed in the last 10 years before the application.

The subsidy for landlords and common areas is calculated by means of a percentage limit on the amount of the work including VAT, depending on the number of residences concerned. For example, the owner will receive :

From the 1st to the 5th residence, 40% of the amount of the work including VAT, capped at € 400 per window.
From the 6th to the 10th residence, 30% of the amount of work including VAT etc.

The amount is degressive according to the number of residences and the total amount granted may not exceed € 20,000 including VAT. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information regarding this subject.
